CIT8
CIT8 Kromoroller stain concentrate, blue
Concentrated solvent-borne Kromoroller pigment stain in blue (made by Milesi). Cut 5–20x with S10/S12/S90 thinner (500–2000 % by weight) before use. Lightfast, bright, evens out blotchy substrate colour and does not raise the grain. Spray, spray-and-wipe, wipe or roller-coat; with CIC12 wiping binder it picks out the pores on open-grain timber (oak, ash). Can be topcoated with NC, PU, polyester and acid-cat (КФ) lacquers (the other CIT colour pages say UV instead).
- Colouring veneer and solid wood under a clear finish
- Evening out colour variation in timber
- Pore highlighting on oak and ash (with CIC12, wiped)
- Mixing custom shades with the other CIT colours
- Roller-coating flat panels (5–15 g/m²)
- Automatic spray lines (official PE high-gloss coffin schedule)

Mixing matrix
- % by weight: 500–2000 %official% by volume: 500–2000 %official
Always — the concentrate is never used neat. More thinner = lighter, more transparent tone.
Dealer table gives the same 500–2000 % by weight and volume for S10/S12/S90.
- S10Thinner% by weight: 500–2000 %official
Fine-pored timber (beech, birch, maple, alder); fast flash, automatic lines.
Catalogue: S10 = fast, strong solvency; stains on fine-pored wood.
- S12Thinner% by weight: 500–2000 %official
Medium-pored timber; medium evaporation — fewer lap marks when hand-spraying.
Catalogue: S12 = medium evaporation, stains on medium-pored wood.
- S90Thinner% by weight: 500–2000 %official
Open-grain timber (oak, ash), wiping, large panels, hot shop — gives open time to work stain into the pores.
Catalogue: S90 = slow evaporation, stains on open-pored wood. Dealer: 'slow stain thinner'.
- LZC97Thinner% by weight: 500–2000 %official% by volume: 500–2000 %official
Listed on the official page as an alternative (Milesi) thinner.
No LZC97 page anywhere; dealer does not stock it. The LZC series on t-color.ru are Milesi PU thinners (LZC70, LZC1051, LZC8643), so LZC97 is probably a Milesi thinner. The CIT8 page also lists it as a binder, but every other CIT colour page has CFS1 in that slot, so that is most likely a page typo.
- % by weight: 0–40 %official% by volume: 0–40 %official
Binder: optional; needed for wipe-on application and pore highlighting.
Every other CIT colour page (CIT1/2/3/9/9280) lists CIC11/CIC12/CFS1 as binders; LZC97 in this row on the CIT8 page is most likely a typo.
- CIC12Additive% by weight: 20–30 %dealer
Wiping application, pore highlighting on oak/ash.
Dealer: CIC12 = Kromoroller wiping binder for CIT stains, 'added to the ready CIT stain at 20–30 %'; viscosity 53 ± 3 (cup not stated), full dry 3–4 h at 20 °C.

- Why this method
- The schedule only says 'automatic spray, booth with one reciprocator' for the CIT step (airless is named only for the ETS50 primer steps); airless/airmix are the usual guns on such lines
Official schedule: CIT sprayed automatically in a booth with one reciprocator (gun type not stated), 80–100 g/m², 5–10 min at 20 °C before ETS50 polyester primer.

Flood on by spray, let it sit 1–3 min (longer with S90), then wipe across and finally along the grain with a rag or pad, packing colour into the pores. Best with 20–30 % CIC12.
Cloth or pad
- Consumption

Roller

Roller-coat flat panels only; the methods page gives roller films of 5–20 g/m².
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Sand bare wood P150–P180 (schedule); remove dust. Stain directly on bare woodschedule
- Goes over
- bare wood
- Sanding
- Never sand the stained surface directly; denib only after the first sealer/primer coat (P320–P400)recommended
- Best on
- Any timber; best effect on large-pored hardwoods — oak, ashdealer
- Temperature and humidity
- 18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %; above ~25 °C or on large panels switch S10 → S12/S90recommended
- Don'ts
- Don't use the concentrate neat
- Don't sand the stain coat
- Don't seal before it's dry (min 5–10 min at 20 °C; 3–4 h with CIC12)
- Don't load it on heavy — you'll get stripes and colour runs

Safety: Flammable: solvent-borne. Spray in a booth with extraction, wear an A2 organic-vapour respirator and nitrile gloves; lay wiping rags flat or soak in water before disposal.
