APL22157 Liquid metal-leaf effect, white silver (liquid gilding paint; 'Platinum' in the catalog)
Liquid metal leaf: a one-pack, solvent-borne metallic paint that replaces gilding and imitates loose-leaf gold/silver, without any precious metal and at a fraction of the cost. No size or special lacquer needed — brush or spray it, and it covers in one coat. It is less abrasion-resistant than 2K enamels, so on anything that gets handled you topcoat it with acrylic lacquer — bearing in mind that a gloss lacquer changes the metallic look.

Keep a steady 15–20 cm distance, 50% overlap and even pass speed — that's what makes a metallic look uniform. A last light 'drop coat' from a bit further away evens out mottling. Don't flood it. Keep it stirred — the pigment settles.

Soft brush, lay it off in one direction and don't go back over areas that have started to grab — touch-dry is 5 min. Good for carving, edges, restoration; thin less for brushing.

- Use a base of similar colour: the special-effects catalog lists white primer PPS20 (2 coats), then PPL RAL enamel, then the leaf. The base must be flat and sanded — metallics show every flaw.catalog
