PTL202
PTL202 PU gloss lacquer (100 gloss) for funeral products
Two-pack clear high-gloss (100 gloss) polyurethane lacquer cured with PC72. Deep gloss with a full 'lens' that doesn't sink into sanding scratches, good hardness and fast drying — ready to pack/stack in under 24 h. Thixotropic, so it holds well on vertical surfaces. The 2025–26 catalogue positions it as a lacquer for funeral products; the dealer lists high-gloss finishing of furniture fronts and panels in various wood species and MDF, 'also suitable for making funeral products'.
- funeral products (coffins) — clear high-gloss finish
- high-gloss furniture fronts
- panels in various wood species and veneer
- MDF under a clear gloss

- Don'ts
- don't spray over an unsanded or dusty primer — 100 gloss shows every speck
- don't use the mix past its 6 h pot life
- don't use fast thinners — the slow S70 is what lets it flow out
- don't use on pale woods that must stay pale — PC72 yellows
- don't pack before 24 h
- don't polish before 3 days
- don't use without stirring — it's thixotropic

Safety: Two-pack solvent-borne polyurethane; the PC72 hardener contains isocyanates. Spray only in a ventilated booth with an A2P3 respirator (or air-fed mask), gloves and eye protection. Flammable — keep away from flames and sparks. (Generic 2K PU guidance; no Technocolor SDS found.)
