PPL100
PPL100 white gloss PU converter (tinting base), 100 gloss
White high-gloss (100 gloss) polyurethane converter for the SPECTRUM tinting system. High hiding power and good physical/chemical resistance. Tinted with CS pastes by recipe into light, pastel and mid-tone gloss RAL/NCS colours (saturated and dark colours go on the clear PTL100). 2K: AC200 (or PC210) hardener at 70 % by weight / 80 % by volume, thinned with the slow S80 at 20–40 % by weight. Spray-applied at 150 g/m² per coat; polishable gloss.
- Base for tinting gloss PU enamels into light and pastel colours (CS pastes)
- Untinted — a white gloss PU enamel
- High-gloss MDF fronts, cabinet furniture, pieces to be polished

Mixing matrix
- AC200Hardener% by weight: 70 %official% by volume: 80 %official
Main hardener, fixed ratio. Best choice for whites and pastels (yellows less).
70 parts by weight = 80 by volume — don't mix the two up. Catalog: AC200 70 %. Gloss-material hardener, ≈44 % solids (catalog).
- PC210Hardener% by weight: 70 %official% by volume: 80 %official
When faster drying is needed (cold shop, short cycle).
Official page: «PC210/AC200». The catalog lists only AC200 for PPL100. PC210 yellows slightly more (catalog) — visible on white; shorter pot life (estimate ≈3 h).
- S80Thinner% by weight: 20–40 (typ. 30) %official% by volume: 25–45 %official
Always, to spray viscosity. S80 is slow, made for high-gloss PU.
Catalog p.19: S70/S80 are slow, for deep-matt and high-gloss PU and acrylics. Don't use fast S30/S50 — orange peel, lost gloss. Thinner doesn't change cure time.
- S80Thinner% by weight: 20–30 %catalog
2025–2026 catalog: 20–30 % (website: 20–40 % by weight).
- S70Thinner% by weight: 20–40 %recommended
Only if S80 isn't available, in a cool shop.
Not an official option — test on a sample.

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Over a sanded white/pigmented primer (PU or PE). Sand primer P240–P320, then K150–K180 pads; de-dust.recommended
- Sanding
- Between coats P400–P600; polish no sooner than 72 h (3M Finesse-it or similar).recommended
- Don'ts
- Don't thin with fast S30/S50 — orange peel, lost gloss
- Don't exceed 150 g/m² per coat — sags and trapped solvent
- Don't polish before 72 h
- Don't use the mix past pot life (~4 h with AC200)
- Don't confuse 70 % by weight with 80 % by volume of hardener
- Don't build saturated/dark colours on the white base — use PTL100
Storage
Safety: Contains organic solvents; AC200/PC210 hardeners contain isocyanates. Spray in an extracted booth with an organic-vapour respirator (A2P2 or better), nitrile gloves and eye protection. Keep away from ignition sources.

- Official methods page quotes airmix hydraulic pressure «до 20 bar»; the derived 40–80 bar working range is common practice for air-assisted pumps but exceeds that figure — follow the pump maker / test.
- Official gloss schedule writes the hardener as «C200» (evident typo for AC200).
