VTS50001

VTS50001 UV-cure parquet primer

Clear, water-reducible UV-cure primer for parquet. Wets the substrate very well and increases adhesion of the following coats; used as the first coat when finishing mechanically loaded surfaces (2022 catalog). Solids 24 %, 15–20 g/m², roller applied. Being waterborne, the water must be flashed off before UV curing.

  • First (adhesion) coat on sanded parquet / engineered boards on a UV roller line
  • First coat on mechanically loaded surfaces
  • Base for UV filler/sealers (VTS20011, VTS20015, VTS20002) and VTL20003 UV topcoat — by analogy with the official UV parquet schedule, where VTS20000 fills this slot

Single-component product: no mixing needed — use as supplied (see application below).

    Default — use as supplied

The catalog calls it water-reducible but gives no water %; do not use solvent thinners (S30/S50 etc.). The official UV parquet schedule's first coat is a different product — VTS20000 + CTH 5–10 % (8–10 g/m², dry 30–35 °C 5 min); don't carry the CTH ratio over to VTS50001 without the Technocolor tech's OK.

Percentages are per 100 parts of component A.

Don't spray without Technocolor's OK: use the spray-grade UV sealers VTS30006 / VTS60019 instead.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Sand parquet with belts P150 → P180 → P220, de-dust, wood MC 8–10 %recommended
Temperature and humidity
Material and boards 18–25 °C; protect from frost (waterborne)recommended
Don'ts
  • Don't apply over unsanded or dusty wood
  • Don't leave it in an open trough in daylight/UV
  • Don't send a wet (un-flashed) film under the UV lamp
  • Don't thin with solvents; water or CTH only with the Technocolor tech's OK
  • Don't spray it

Storage

Safety: Uncured UV acrylates are skin irritants and sensitisers: nitrile gloves and glasses, wipe spills straight away. Never look at UV lamps unshielded.

Not covered by the sources
  • Official page gives only two properties (wetting, high adhesion); the 2022 catalog adds: clear, water-reducible, 24 % solids, 15–20 g/m², roller
  • Dealer t-colormarket.ru search for VTS50001 returns nothing (re-checked 2026-10-05; shop has no UV category)
  • Not in the 2025–2026 catalog transcripts; not used in any official finishing schedule
  • No viscosity, density, water-dilution %, flash-off time/temperature, UV dose (mJ/cm²), shelf life, storage, packaging, hardness or chemical resistance published
  • Whether CTH dye can be added (as for VTS20000) is unconfirmed
