CTH2
CTH2 Water-based dye concentrate, orange
Concentrated transparent water-borne dye, orange. Gives bright, saturated and deep shades while keeping the wood figure visible. Resists settling, so it suits dip lines with recirculating tanks. Cut with water before use (500–600 % by weight per the official page, up to 1000 % per the catalogue); Technocolor schedules add binder CFH1 (oak fronts) or CFH2 (the dip binder, beech chairs). Can be added to water-borne lacquers as a tint — children's furniture, toys.
- Staining solid and veneered furniture parts (beech, oak etc.) by spray
- Dip and flow-coat staining of open-frame parts (chairs, cots)
- Tinting water-borne lacquers and primers (children's furniture, toys)
- Tinting VTS20000 lacquer in the UV parquet system (VTS20000 + CTH 5–10 %)
- Tinting the HTL10001 'Frost' crystallisation effect
- Mixing with CTH1/3/4/9 to reach a target shade

Mixing matrix
- WATERThinner% by weight: 500–600 % of concentrateofficial% by volume: 500–600 % of concentrateofficial
Standard working dye (no binder) for spraying and dipping.
More water = paler; less = deeper, more saturated.
- WATERThinner% by weight: 500–1000 % of concentratecatalog
Catalogue allows up to 1000 % for pale shades.
Catalogue gives just '%' without weight/volume; for water and a water-based concentrate the difference is negligible.
- CFH1 / WATERAdditive
Schedule 'Open-pore finishing of oak kitchen fronts (Acr.)' (URL …stoleshnits…): 80–100 g/m², 20 min at 20–25 °C, then PTS60 + C26 + S50.
Schedule states neither application method nor weight/volume basis. On official pages CFH1 appears as the binder for CLT/CPH dyes (0–200 %); a 'spray binder' role is not confirmed.
- CFH2 / WATERAdditive
Beech chairs, 80–100 g/m², 30 min dry, then PTS50 + C50 + S80.
CFH2 is the water-borne dip binder, 'high colour uniformity'; dealer: thinned with water 800–1200, matching this schedule. CFH2 solids 41±1 %.
- CFH2 / WATERAdditive
Dip tank: shade depth set by the CTH dose (1–10 %).
Roughly CTH 100 : CFH2 400–4000 : water 600–6000 — far weaker than the chair schedule; dial in on test pieces.
- VTS20000tint_into% by weight: 5–10 % of CTH on VTS20000schedule
UV parquet: 'lacquer application' VTS20000 + CTH 5–10 %, 8–10 g/m², 5 min at 30–35 °C, then VTS20011 filler 30–35 g/m² and UV cure.
Basis (weight/volume) not stated. VTS20000 chemistry is not documented (no product page).
- HTL10001tint_into
'Frost' crystallisation effect: PPS20 → PU RAL enamel → HTL10001 + CTH → ATL20 SM.
- water-borne lacquers (HTL series)tint_into
Toned lacquer (kids' furniture, toys) — colour in the coat without a separate staining step.
Water-borne systems only; do not add CTH to solvent PU/acrylic lacquers.

- Spray viscosity
- ≈ water (DIN4 ~10 s or below; not meaningfully measurable)recommended
- Coats
- 1 even wet coat; a second light pass only to even out colourrecommended
Gun 15–20 cm off the surface, 50 % overlap, keep a wet edge — dried edges give stripes. Flush the gun with water afterwards.
Conventional spray
- Consumption
- 80–100 g/m²official
Conventional air spray — the most common method per Technocolor's methods page.
Airmix (air-assisted airless)
For batch staining of panels; pump and lines must be stainless — it is water-borne.
Dipping
- Consumption
- 80–100 g/m², 60–80 g/m²
The series' main method (settling-resistant). Working bath with CFH2: CTH 100 / CFH2 800 / water 1200 (chair schedule) or CFH2 40 % + water 60 % + CTH 1–10 % (dealer). Let it drain, wipe drips off lower edges, dry 30 min at 20–25 °C.
Flow coating
- Why ru
- На странице методов облив назван в первую очередь методом для морилок; CTH устойчив к оседанию, рециркуляция ему подходит.
Flow coating — per Technocolor's methods page mostly used for stains; bath as for dipping with CFH2, keep the loop filtered.
Cloth or pad
- Why ru
- Официально для CTH не предусмотрено; обычное применение водных красителей в мастерской для ремонта.
Touch-up and small parts — sponge or rag, blend out immediately, work fast (water dye dries patchy). No official consumption.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Faces: P150, P180, P220; edges: sponges K60, K80., Chairs: abrasive mats K60, K80., Pre-raise the grain before dyeing: wet with water, let dry, de-whisker lightly at P220–P240 — water dye raises grain strongly.
