LNB71 polyurethane hardener (Milesi) for adhesion primers

Isocyanate hardener (second component) made by MILESI and supplied by Technocolor. The dealer (Holzcom) calls it 'a hardener for adhesion primers… used as the second component of adhesion PU primers for PU foam', solids 50 ± 1 %. There's no product page on t-color.ru; officially it only appears on the LBR40, LBR43 and LBR45 PU-foam primer pages — 20 % by weight / 30 % by volume, with LNB16405 as an equal alternative. A code search on t-colormarket.ru returns nothing.

  • second component of the PU-foam/MDF primers LBR40 (white), LBR43 (walnut), LBR45 (mahogany) — 20 % by weight / 30 % by volume
  • second component of MILESI adhesion PU primers for PU-foam parts (per dealer description)

LBR40 — white PU primer for PU foam and MDF. The official page lists the hardener as 'LNB71/LNB16405': either one works, same dose — 20 % by weight (30 % by volume).

Fixed dose — weigh it, don't eyeball it. Don't blend LNB71 and LNB16405 in the same mix.

LBR43 — walnut-tinted PU primer for PU foam. The official page lists the hardener as 'LNB71/LNB16405': either one works, same dose — 20 % by weight (30 % by volume).

Fixed dose — weigh it, don't eyeball it. Don't blend LNB71 and LNB16405 in the same mix.

LBR45 — mahogany-tinted PU primer for PU foam. The official page lists the hardener as 'LNB71/LNB16405': either one works, same dose — 20 % by weight (30 % by volume).

Fixed dose — weigh it, don't eyeball it. Don't blend LNB71 and LNB16405 in the same mix.

The standard thinner for LBR primers on LNB71: 10 % for maximum build on flat work; 20–30 % for verticals, carved PU-foam mouldings, or a tip under 1.8 mm.

Hardener first, stir, then the thinner.

Why ru

Tip and pressure are set for the LBR primer mix, not for the hardener. On a 1.5 mm tip thin with LZC1051 to 25–30 % and accept less build.

Why ru

For production runs of PU-foam mouldings. Thin 10–15 % with LZC1051.

Process and compatibility

Mixing
Weigh out LBR primer (part A) 100, add LNB71 20 by weight, stir, then LZC1051 10–30. Let it stand 5–10 min and strain (125–190 µm). Don't mix more than you'll spray in about 2 h.recommended
Temperature and humidity
18–25 °C, RH max 70 %; in humid air the isocyanate reacts with water — blushing and micro-bubbles.recommended
Don'ts
  • don't blend LNB71 and LNB16405 in one mix — pick one
  • don't eyeball the dose: too little gives a soft film and poor adhesion to the foam, too much makes it brittle
  • don't put it into Technocolor PC/AC/EC/C-hardener systems without a test — compatibility isn't published
  • don't leave the can open: it picks up moisture, goes cloudy and gels
