LBR45
LBR45 PU primer, mahogany, for polyurethane foam (PU mouldings)
Two-component pigmented polyurethane primer in a mahogany shade for cast polyurethane-foam parts (mouldings, cornices, carved décor, appliqués). Excellent adhesion to PU foam, high build, sands easily, thixotropic so it holds on verticals and relief. A coloured base for faux-wood work: glaze/patina, tinted enamel and a clear topcoat go over it.
- priming cast PU-foam parts: frames, cornices, mouldings, carved décor
- mahogany-coloured base for patina/glaze and faux-wood finishes
- high-build filling coat on relief and verticals (thixotropic)

Mixing matrix
- LNB71Hardener% by weight: 20 %official% by volume: 30 %official
Primary hardener: listed first on the official page, and the dealer describes it specifically as the second component of adhesion PU primers for PU foam. Fixed ratio; mix by weight.
20 % by weight = 30 % by volume (part A is much heavier than the hardener). Measuring by cup, use the volume figure; on scales, the weight figure — don't mix them up.
- LNB16405Hardener% by weight: 20 %official% by volume: 30 %official
Alternative to LNB71 (officially “LNB71/LNB16405”) at the same ratio. Handy if the shop already stocks LNB16405 for PU lacquers/enamels.
Don't blend the two hardeners in one batch.
- LZC1051Thinner% by weight: 10–30 (typ. 20) %official% by volume: 20–40 (typ. 30) %official
10 % for max build on relief or touch-up; 20 % for normal spraying; 30 % with a small tip (1.4–1.5) or in hot/dry conditions.
Thinner doesn't change cure speed, only viscosity and flow. The official weight/volume pair for the thinner doesn't reconcile with LZC1051's density — trust the weight figure.

Only for long moulding runs and flat PU-foam panels; floods fine carving.
Brush
- Why ru
- На официальной странице единственный метод — распыление; подкраска кистью — обычная практика для тиксотропных грунтов, но Technocolor её не предусматривает.
Officially spray-only. Brush only for local touch-up of chips on relief (10 % thinner).
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Degrease thoroughly (remove mould release from the casting), scuff lightly with an abrasive pad if needed, de-dust.recommended
- Sanding
- K120 pads after ≥4 hrecommended
- Temperature and humidity
- 18–25 °C, RH ≤ 70 %recommended
- Don'ts
- don't prime an uncleaned casting — mould release causes peeling
- don't add more than 20 % hardener ‘just in case’
- don't flood recesses — trapped solvent can blister on foam
- don't sand sharp relief edges with a hard block — you'll cut through to the foam
Storage
Safety: 2K PU system: the hardener contains isocyanates. Spray in a booth with an organic-vapour respirator (A2P3), gloves and goggles. Flammable. (General 2K PU practice; no SDS found for LBR45.)
