LBR90
LBR90 black polyurethane primer for PU foam (PPU) mouldings
Two-pack pigmented black polyurethane primer for finishing PU-foam (PPU) mouldings, frames and decor, and also solid wood, veneer and MDF. Wets the substrate well, gives an even, opaque colour, is thixotropic (holds on verticals and carved relief), has minimal shrinkage and sands beautifully by hand. A base for black enamels, patina, gilding and decorative effects.
- priming PU-foam decor, mouldings, frames
- black base under black PU enamels
- base for patina, metal leaf and special effects
- solid wood, veneer, MDF (per the manufacturer's TDS)

Mixing matrix
- LNB77Hardener% by weight: 40 %official% by volume: 50 %official
Technocolor's standard ratio for the Russian market.
40 % by weight ≈ 50 % by volume (densities 1.21 and 0.963 — checks out). Weigh the hardener, don't eyeball it.
- LNB77Hardener% by weight: 50 %datasheet% by volume: 62.8 %datasheet
Ratio from the Milesi TDS (US edition, 2014). Differs from Technocolor's 40 %.
For Technocolor-supplied stock follow the official 40 %; 50 % is for reference. Pot life with LNB77 is 2 h.
- LNB613Hardener% by weight: 40 %datasheet% by volume: 49.5 %datasheet
Milesi TDS alternative: better elasticity and filling power, 3 h pot life. Technocolor doesn't list it for LBR90, but the dealer stocks LNB613.
The extra elasticity helps on PU foam, which moves with temperature.
- % by weight: 10–30 %official% by volume: 20–40 %official
Technocolor's official range.
The 20 % low end by volume doesn't match 10 % by weight (densities give ≈ 14 %); go by weight. LZC1026 is the fast universal PU thinner; LZC1051 is medium-evaporation, for a warm shop or large parts.
- LZC1026Thinner% by weight: 20 %datasheet% by volume: 28 %datasheet
Milesi TDS working point: mixed viscosity 20 ± 2 s Ford 4.
A good starting point inside the official 10–30 % range.

Thixotropic primer: stir well before filling the cup, and again after thinning. On carved PU foam use short passes and don't flood the recesses. It won't sag on verticals, but over 150 g/m² per coat the film may stay soft underneath.

Electrostatic
- Nozzle

Listed in the Milesi TDS for wood/MDF. PU foam is an insulator, so electrostatics won't wrap it without a conductive pre-treatment.

- don't use the mix past its pot life (2 h with LNB77)
- don't topcoat before 24 h unless it sands to powder
