XHC3
XHC3 "Hydrochrome" clear wood impregnation
Clear protective impregnation for exterior wood. Even colour, strong protection, including against fungi, mould and wood pests, excellent weather resistance, high lightfastness and easy application.
- exterior timber (listed under the official "Exterior" category)
- protective base treatment under exterior lazures and lacquers
- windows: production impregnation by dipping or flow coating
Single-component product: no mixing needed — use as supplied (see application below).

Don't thin until you know the base. Never guess with water or S50/S80; pick the wrong one and you ruin the batch.

Application
Dipping
- Consumption
- 40–60 g/m²official
- Coats
- 1 immersion coatsrecommended
Immerse briefly, lift out, let the excess drain off, then dry. Dipping gives good penetration into the wood, which is why it is often used for protective impregnation-stains in window production.
Flow coating
- Consumption
- 40–60 g/m²official
Flow coating: vertically hung parts pass on a conveyor through a frame of nozzles; the run-off collects in the lower tank and returns through filters in a closed loop. Used mainly for stains.
Brush
- Consumption
- 40–60 g/m²official
- Why ru
- Стандартная практика нанесения кистью проникающих пропиток для наружных работ: торцы впитывают больше всего и разрушаются первыми.
Apply generously along the grain, flood end grain twice and brush out any surplus. Don't leave puddles.

One even wet coat with no runs; take extra care on end grain and joints. Spray impregnations only in a booth with extraction and wear a respirator (biocides).

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Dry (12–15 % moisture), clean, dust-free timber with no old film finish, resin or dirt; sand to P120–P150 (no finer, or the impregnation won't soak in).recommended
- Goes over
- bare wood
- Sanding
- Don't sand back through the impregnation after it is applied. If a film finish follows, only knock down raised grain lightly at P220–P240.recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- +15 to +25 °C, RH ≤ 75 %; don't apply to wet or sun-heated wood, or with rain due.recommended
- Don'ts
- don't thin until the base is known
- don't apply over old paint/varnish films
- don't leave puddles or runs
- don't sand through the impregnated layer
Storage
Safety: Contains protective (anti-fungal) actives: wear gloves and eye protection, plus a respirator and extraction when spraying. Exact requirements are on the label/SDS (not published).
