LBA527 Wetting (grain-enhancing) clear polyurethane sealer

Two-pack clear polyurethane sealer by Milesi. 'Wetting' means it soaks in and brings up the grain — it warms and enhances the figure while staying very clear. Sands easily and dries fast: touch dry in 45 min, sandable after 4 h. Part A solids 47 ± 1 %. Mixed 2:1 with LNB21 hardener (50 %) and cut 10–30 % with LZC1051.

  • case (carcass) furniture
  • furniture doors and fronts
  • other wooden items
  • clear finishing under PU topcoats where you want the grain brought up

The only hardener the dealer lists.

2:1 (sealer : hardener) by weight and by volume. LNB21 is Milesi's isocyanate hardener for PU primers and matt lacquers; pot life of the mix 3 h at 20 °C.

Always; 10–15 % for maximum build, 25–30 % for small tips / airmix and hot weather.

LZC1051 is Milesi's PU thinner. Add hardener first, then thin and check viscosity.

Don'ts
  • don't use the mix after its 3 h pot life
  • don't go over 30 % thinner — you lose build
  • don't sand before 4 h — the paper clogs
  • don't spray below 15 °C

Safety: Flammable solvent-borne liquid; mixed with LNB21 it contains isocyanates. Spray in an extracted booth with an A2 carbon respirator (or air-fed), gloves and goggles. (Generic 2K PU requirements — no SDS found.)
